Priolube 3970 is a TMP C8C10 ester and Priolube 2720 is a TMP C9 ester. C8C10 acid currently has limited availability. There has therefore been an industry wide interest to have a TMPC9 alternative, a technology that has been used as a successful replacement in the past.
