We group our fire resistant hydraulic lubricant components under the generic descriptor of HF, and further classify according to their chemical composition under sub-groups such as HFA (emulsion or solutions containing more than 80% water), HFB (water in oil emulsions containing 45% water), HFC (polymer in water containing 35% water) and HFD (water free).
In both these groups we offer a range of speciality emulsifiers and oleochemically derived synthetic ester base oils branded under industry recognised trade names of Atlas™, Brij™, Hypermer™, Tween™ and Priolube™. These products provide the formulator with the ability to control emulsion particle size, particle size distribution, longterm dynamic stability and to provide some degree of lubrication to the formulation.
Our Emkarox ™ polyalkylene glycols provide outstanding shear stable thickening properties, excellent hydrodynamic lubrication properties, good compatibility with elastomers, good heat conductivity and excellent viscosity temperature profiles.
Our Priolube ester base oils are recommended for use where excellent lubrication, good oxidation stability, cleanliness of operation and low environmental impact are considered to be the main priority for the formulator.
For formulations containing more than 80% water, the emulsifiers and base oils below are recommended.
