REACH is the regulation of the European Union (EU) for the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals and became law on 1st June 2007.
The overall principle and objectives of REACH on chemical policy is to make manufacturers, importers and users of chemicals responsible for collecting information, assessing the risk of chemicals and demonstrating how any risk can be managed.
We are a world leading manufacturer of speciality chemicals and our products are used in many downstream applications and as such we are experienced in the need to include a description of how the substance is used in the Registration dossier. We routinely work with our customers to include their downstream uses, commonly by employing the exposure scenarios developed by the relevant downstream user trade associations.
ATIEL is one such group who have worked to map known product applications, to relevant uses, to support a consistent approach to the registration of substances used in lubricant products.
