The increasing awareness of environmental pollution caused by many chemicals, including lubricants, has led to the increased use of environmentally friendly products. Environmentally Acceptable Lubricants (EAL's) are present in a wide range of markets and are defined as a lubricant that has good biodegradability, low toxicity and with low bioaccumulation. We recognise that a key focus area due to changing regulatory landscape is Vessel General Permit (VGP) EAL's and to minimise confusion we have created an infographic of proposed changes to the EU Ecolabel due for implementation in December 2018 to support in navigating the global regulatory changes.
