Croda recognises these changes and the diverse demands placed on the metalworking fluid formulation and has developed a broad range of advanced performance products with the following functionalities:

• Base oils (neat, semi-synthetic and synthetic)
• Lubricity boosters
• Emulsifiers
• Extreme pressure/anti-wear additives
• Fatty acids for use as lubricity additives, emulsifiers and corrosion inhibitors
• Film formers/wetting agents
• Corrosion inhibitors
• Temporary corrosion protection additives

Croda has developed a new lubricity additive designed for use in the formulation of neat metal cutting and deformation fluids, namely Perfad 8400, offering unique, unequalled lubrication performance.  

In addition to Perfad 8400 above, Croda has developed Perfad 8100, a non-toxic, chlorine-free additive to replace chlorinated paraffins in metalworking lubricants and coolants.
